The Sildalist 120 mg preparation is a popular choice for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, especially due to its unique combination of two active ingredients in one tablet. This popular medication is a generic alternative (full substitute) to two original drugs - Viagra and Cialis. It contains the active ingredients of both medications - sildenafil (100 mg) and tadalafil (20 mg).

Active Ingredient

The active ingredients are sildenafil citrate (for more information about the active ingredient, see the article on Sildenafil) and tadalafil (for more information about the active ingredient, see the article on Tadalafil) Both substances significantly enhance blood flow to the penis, thus promoting a firm and long-lasting erection, leading to a more enjoyable sexual experience.

Dosage and Administration

The usual initial single dose is 60 mg. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 120 mg.

Sildalist should be taken 20-60 minutes before sexual intercourse and its effect lasts up to 36 hours. Sildalist is not an aphrodisiac. Sexual stimulation is necessary to achieve the effect.

Sildalist should be taken either before or after a meal. Sildalist should not be combined with alcohol and fatty foods. It should not be combined with grapefruit or grapefruit juice either. Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice for 72 hours before taking the medication, during its use, and throughout the expected duration of its effect.

Contraindications

You must not take Sildalist 120 mg if you:

• are allergic to sildenafil, tadalafil, or any other component of this product
• have recently had a stroke, heart attack, or have low or high blood pressure
• take nitrates (such as nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate), nitric oxide-releasing drugs (such as isoamyl nitrite)
• take medication for angina pectoris (such as nitrates or nitric oxide donors)
• suffer from another serious heart or liver condition
• have a rare retinal disorder (such as retinitis pigmentosa) or have vision loss due to non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION)
• take riociguat (used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension)
• take alpha-blockers for high blood pressure or for the treatment of urinary symptoms related to benign prostatic hyperplasia
• take protease inhibitors for the treatment of AIDS or HIV infection
• already take another medication for erectile dysfunction

Warning:

Consult your doctor before starting to take medications containing sildenafil if you have:

• heart problems
• Peyronie's disease or another penis deformity
• ulcer disease or bleeding problems (such as hemophilia)
• intolerance to some sugars (such as lactose)
• sickle cell anemia, leukemia, or multiple myeloma

By patients with severe renal impairment, the maximum recommended dose of tadalafil is 10 mg.

The simultaneous use of Sildalist 120 mg with other medications requires approval from your healthcare provider, especially if you are taking ritonavir, saquinavir, erythromycin, cimetidine, ketoconazole, or itraconazole.

Possible side effects of the medication

During the use of medications based on sildenafil and tadalafil, side effects may occur. They are usually mild and short-lived. The most commonly occurring side effects include headache, nausea, digestive problems, facial flushing, hot flashes, vision disturbances (blurred or "blue" vision), stuffy nose, and dizziness.

Important notice

If you experience a sudden worsening of vision or hearing, blood in urine, cloudy urine, or an erection lasting more than 4 hours, particularly if it is not caused by sexual stimulation and is accompanied by pain, seek immediate medical attention.
